Is there really a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 50 API calls per month with no credit card required. It gives you full access to both phone number validation and bank SWIFT lookup across all 54 African countries. It is designed for developers who want to test the API before committing to a paid plan.
How much does the African phone validation API cost?
Plans start at R0 (free). Paid plans are R600/month (Starter, 10,000 calls), R1,900/month (Growth, 100,000 calls), and R5,600/month (Enterprise, unlimited calls). All prices are in South African Rands and billed monthly with no contracts.
Can I upgrade or cancel at any time?
Yes. There are no contracts or lock-in periods. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your billing dashboard. Payments are processed securely via PayFast.
What happens if I go over my monthly limit?
When you exceed your monthly call limit the API returns a 429 status code until the next billing cycle. On the Starter plan, extra calls are billed at R1 each. On Growth, extra calls are R0.80 each. Enterprise includes unlimited calls with no overage charges.
Are all 54 African countries included in all plans?
Yes. Every plan including the free tier includes full coverage of all 54 African countries for phone validation and bank SWIFT lookup. There are no country restrictions or regional add-ons.
How is billing handled?
All paid plans are billed monthly in South African Rands (ZAR) via PayFast. Enterprise customers can request invoice billing. We do not store card details — all payment data is handled by PayFast.
